This is an 8 session series training for parents, childcare teachers, and childcare directors. At times all parents and caregivers feel lost or without a clue about what children might need from us. Imagine what it might feel like if you were able to make sense of what your children were really asking from you. The Circle of Security® Parenting™ program is based on decades of research about how secure parent-child and teacher-child relationships can be supported and strengthened. Learning Objectives of the Training:

  • Understand children's emotional world by learning to read the emotional needs
  • Support a child's ability to successfully manage emotions
  • Enhance the development of a child's self esteem
  • Honor your innate wisdom and desire for children to be secure

MMCI: Making the Most of Classroom Interactioins, Sessions 1 & 2

Making the Most of Classroom Interaction (MMCI) is an interactive course for teachers and care providers led by a Teachstone-trained instructor. Over the course of ten sessions, your instructor provides in-person training. This course will prepare you to identify, understand, and apply stronger CLASS interactions to your preschool classroom.

Teachers and Care Providers who participate in MMCI trainings:

  • Learn to identify and describe effective interactions in classrooms and care settings.
  • Discuss ways to interact intentionally to increase children's learning.
  • Gain access to valuable print and video resources aligned with the CLASS measure.

Cost: FREE Earn: two free CEUs for completing the series of ten sessions. This training is for all early learning instructors working with children ages birth to five years old. Participants will use the Core Competencies for Practitioners as a reference guide to implement best practices as teacher in the field of early care and education. The core knowledge areas for practioners are:

Integrating the Standards: Phonological Awareness

Learn key concepts that will help children gain a better understanding of phonological awareness. This class is offered through the Department of Education. A pre requisite for this class is the 2011 Early Learning and Developmental Standards for Four Year-Olds.
