Circle of Security: Session 3

Registration Closed

This is an 8 session series training for parents, childcare teachers, and childcare directors. At times all parents and caregivers feel lost or without a clue about what children might need from us. The Circle of Security® Parenting™ program is based on decades of research about how secure parent-child and teacher-child relationships can be supported and strengthened. Learning Objectives of the Training:

  • Understand children's emotional world by learning to read the emotional needs
  • Support a child's ability to successfully manage emotions
  • Enhance the development of a child's self esteem
  • Honor your innate wisdom and desire for children to be secure

To Register for this training please contact Dawn Espinoza, Senior Training Specialist at d.espinoza@phelc.org or 352-834-0052, ext. 111. Participants will not be allowed to enter 10 minutes after class start time. This event is for adults only please. CEUs are offered for this training. Stack It Up with Blocks

The Block Center may be the single most useful center in the early-childhood classroom. Learn how to plan exciting play experiences in your block center. Engage young children to develop new concepts when building with blocks. Block play allows children of all ages to develop math, language, science and social skills while using their imaginations and boosting their creativity. We will look at the developmental stages of block play so we can observe what needs to be available for the children to enhance that stage and encourage them to move to the next stage.

Join us as we identify ways to enhance block play by using accessories that increase appropriate developmental learning. CEUs will be offered with this training.
