Years of the Young Child in Pasco and Hernando Counties
Did you know that 2017 has been designated as the “Years of the Young Child in Pasco and Hernando Counties?” By age 4, a child’s brain is 85% developed. Early Learning experiences greatly affect the quality of a child’s brain development by establishing either a sound or unstable foundation for all learning, health and behavior in later life. #YOTYC seeks to celebrate the relationship between Early Learning Educators and families. We all play a significant role in a child’s future success!
Throughout 2017, you will see constant reminders of the importance of education and Early Learning through a series of social media campaigns and advertisements. As parents/guardians and Early Learning Educators, you will be offered special events throughout the year celebrating Early Learning. Stay tuned for special training opportunities and family engagement events near you!
Make sure to give the Early Learning Coalition of Pasco and Hernando a like on Facebook and follow us on twitter @PHELC to stay up-to-date with monthly events and news about the YOTYC movement. Early Learning is so much more than childcare and we need your help to spread the word! Use #YOTYC to show your support.
